A Christmas Letter to Santa

Hello! Have you started making your Christmas cards yet? I'm far behind my Christmas schedule, but I hope to be able to make up for the delay :). Today I have a cute Christmas card to share with you. Some Copic colouring and a lot of paper layering :). I love how these My Mind's Eye Christmas papers resemble a par avion envelope. They just matched my idea perfectly.

MME Lost & Found 2 Blush

Hello, crafters! Today I'll show you what I've created using the new Lost & Found 2 Blush Collection by My Mind's Eye. I was really excited when I saw my papers from Paperlane and had to finally admit to myself that even though I've been trying so hard to avoid pink all my life, I really love that colour! And Blush is all about pinks and reds and occasional, but very charming green and brown. The collection is innocent and pastel and in the same time bold and bright. My paper crafter's heart could not but love it. It's truly versatile and can be used for so many different occasions. You can go girly (as in my Always friends layout), plush and shiny (Find joy every day), vintage (Thank you card) or romantic (Butterflies card).

I really enjoyed creating the layouts and cards and hope you'll like them and give the collection a try. For the card makers, there is the 6x6 pad which carries the same designs, just in smaller size, perfect for card making! The collection also features many beautiful embellishments (super cute buttons and brads) and even stamps! For those of you who just like me like Blush, pinks and greens and stamps, we have a fun class coming real soon at Paperlane!

BOO!

Boo! Halloween is just around the corner. Are you ready for the celebrations? Here is a fun and easy treat bag (already filled with treats by the way :)) I used a kraft sandwich bag, Hero Arts Halloween stamps set, patterned paper and Ranger Crackle Accents for more spookiness :) I coloured the background with Wild Honey Distress Stains. It looks as if I have used two inks, but it's really just one and that's one of the many unique things you can do with these inks. Fun, huh? Speaking of Distress Stains, we'll be using them at my new class at Paperlane this Saturday. Check it out at www.paperlane.blogspot.com.


Well, and I cheated with the paper. I used a paper from the new My Mind's Eye Blush collection (black and white) and coloured it with an orange Copic marker (YR04) to give her the Halloween look. Здравейте! Днес реших да покажа една бърза торбичка за лакомства. Тази е за Хелоуин, но същата идея може да се използва и за коледна торбичка. Това е всъщност пликче за сандвичи украсено с печати и мастила. Оцветих фона с едно от новите мастила на Тим Холц Distress Stains (Wild Honey), а за хартията използвах малка хитринка понеже нямах нищо подходящо - оцветих белите рейета с оранжев копик маркер :) Ще покажа оригиналната хартия в следващата си публикация. Summer Card Camp 2011 - Week 1

Hello! Jennifer McGuire and Kristina Werner's Summer Card Camp 2011 has begun! Woo hoo! Today we are in week 1 with this amazing and fun colour combination!

Honestly, I would have never thought of combining these colours, but they do look so good together! Thank you, ladies! It was definitely fun to try the colour combo and the techniques taught by Jennifer. I decided to make a card similar to Jennifer's using the stamps, markers and inks I have.

My Mind's Eye

Hello! I'm back with another quick post and my take on the new My Mind's Eye paper collection. These papers are just gorgeous, aren't they?

The first card features a flower I made from scraps and more precisely many papers on which I experimented with a HA background stamp and different Distress inks (that explains the green and red ink in the flower:))

Цветето на първата картичка е моя изработка и е направено изцяло от хартии върху които опитвах различни техники с един от фоновите печати на Херо Артс. Не бяха много сполучливи, но пък дадоха живот на това красиво цвете :)

For this second card I only cut out some of the flowers and then paper pieced them. The moment I saw the paper I knew that's what I wanted to do with it. I used some Glossy Accents for additional dimension and shine.


За втората картичка само изрязах някои от цветята и ги залепих отново. В момента, в който видях хартията реших, че точно това трябва да направя и не му мислих повече. Добавих и малко Glossy Accents за допълнителен обем и блясък. Благодаря, че се отбихте!

Happy 5th Birthday, Paper Lane!

Hi! It's me with a second post for today. Unbelievable indeed, but I'm still so overwhelmed by yesterday's event that I wanted share some of my excitement with you. Yesterday Paper Lane celebrated its fifth birthday and its first year in Town Centre Jumeirah with an event no crafter would ever forget! The celebration was a remarkable tribute to the store's loyal customers with make-and-takes, great discounts and offers and so many gifts, sweet temptations and prizes. I must say, even though I had an idea of the activities, it all surpassed my expectations by far! Great job, Lani and a big thank you to all the ladies who prepared the event!

Pink Paislee Soiree Collection

Hello everyone! Here is my take on the new Pink Paislee Soiree collection. I have two quite different cards and I hope you'll like them.

The green/fuchsia combination seems to be my favourite lately, so I obviously could not resist it here either :) It's a very easy and quick card and once I had the idea, it took me just a few minutes to make and assemble it.

The apple of my eye

Hi! I hardly believe it myself, but I made a scrapbook page! My first ever, so please be gentle :) The page features mainly Prima products - Jack & Jill papers, flowers and stickers. The ladybugs came out quite nice and shiny, didn't they? I also used Paper Lane trims lace and handmade accordion flowers. Still a lot to learn, I know, but I'm glad I tried my hand :) Thanks for stopping by!

Здравейте! Ето я и моята първа скрапбук страница! Не е идеална, но като за първи опит съм доволна. Използвах главно Prima продукти - хартия, цветя и стикери, и си направих сама цветя акордеон (мда, при картичките все не ми стига мястото, а тук се оказа, че го имам в повече:).

Това ме подсеща за новото предизвикателство на Картичкофуриите - Картичка с акордеон елемент, зададена от Lidiya, т.е от мен :) Ще се радвам да видя много, много картички с тази забавна, лесна и много полезна техника. Мерси, че наминахте!
