The apple of my eye

Hi! I hardly believe it myself, but I made a scrapbook page! My first ever, so please be gentle :) The page features mainly Prima products - Jack & Jill papers, flowers and stickers. The ladybugs came out quite nice and shiny, didn't they? I also used Paper Lane trims lace and handmade accordion flowers. Still a lot to learn, I know, but I'm glad I tried my hand :) Thanks for stopping by!

Здравейте! Ето я и моята първа скрапбук страница! Не е идеална, но като за първи опит съм доволна. Използвах главно Prima продукти - хартия, цветя и стикери, и си направих сама цветя акордеон (мда, при картичките все не ми стига мястото, а тук се оказа, че го имам в повече:).

Това ме подсеща за новото предизвикателство на Картичкофуриите - Картичка с акордеон елемент, зададена от Lidiya, т.е от мен :) Ще се радвам да видя много, много картички с тази забавна, лесна и много полезна техника. Мерси, че наминахте!

Sassafras Sweetly Smitten

Hello everyone! I'm back from my vacation and I am crafting in full swing :). Today I had my second beginner cardmaking class at Paper Lane and I am so so glad the ladies left happy with what they learned and made :) For those who missed the first two classes, we'll have another one on Wednesday (18 May) and an advanced class at the end of the month. I will soon post some pictures from the classes which were so much fun!

Now back to the main topic of this post - the new Sassafras collection. I just love it! It was not a love from first sight, but the more I looked at the papers, the more I realized how beautiful and versatile they are. I could not resist the temptation to dress the sweet Sugar Nellie girl in a Sassafras dress. Love the textile texture! And here is a list of the materials:

Beautiful Madeline

Hello everyone and happy new week! This is the new Prima collection I've been talking so much about - Madeline! It's just so colourful and fresh and in the same time so classy. I just love all the papers in it! This particular paper combines most of the designs and even though I used it as a background only, you can still get a pretty good idea of the colours and patterns you can get in Madeline. The full collection is available in Paper Lane and I hear it's going fast :)

I also used one of the new Hero Arts and BasicGrey stamps - Luscious Flowers. It's a great background stamp you can use in so many ways. I had so much fun playing with it and will be sure to show you more of it later on :) The stamp coordinates with the Hello Luscious Collection by BasicGrey.

It's been a while since I last took part in a challenge, so I'm entering this card in the Cardsaddicted challenge - First Spring.

Prima Reflections

Hi! Here comes my first ever DT card for Paper Lane! It's all so exciting that I still can't believe it's true :)

This week we are featuring the Prima Marketing release for Winter 2011. I have not used Prima products before and was so curious to find out why it's so popular in the paper crafting community. Now I know :). It's simply gorgeous - the papers, the flowers, the colours... Paper Lane has brought to Dubai the whole release, so there are so many products and colours to choose from that one can get really lost and overwhelmed. I hope the DT will help you find your favourite ones!

For this card I chose a die cut shape from the Reflections Collection 6x6 paper pad. The collection features warm shades of nature colours and beautiful patterns which can produce both natural and vintage look on your projects, be it a card or a scrapbook page. I chose that particular die cut for a reason. Birds seem to be in fashion in the industry this season, so I wanted to make my card really trendy :). To complement its fashionable look, I adorned it with a butterfly and a ribbon.

I distressed the edges with Crushed Olive Distress Ink to make them pop; then I used the blue side of Reflections Mantra paper to add colour to the background; stamped a sentiment in brown ink to match the paper; tied an organza ribbon and embellished with a shiny hand-made butterfly. It's an easy, elegant and quick card (in case you have the embellishment ready :)).

The butterfly was so fun to make! I just love it when you can turn a plain piece of paper into a lovely element. The butterfly was just a white Sizzix die cut when I started dealing with it :). If you like it, I can show you how to make one later on.

Здравейте! Първата ми картичка като част от дизайнерския екип на Paper Lane е факт! Тази седмица представяме новата колекция на Prima от CHA 2011. Досега не бях използвала Prima и ми беше много любопитно да разбера защо продуктите им са толкова популярни. Е, убедих се. Има защо :). Разнообразието на новата колекция е невероятно - от натурални цветове до пролетно свежо и ярко лятно.

За тази картичка използвах колекцията Reflections, която идва в по-натурални и топли цветове. Формата е част от хартиеното блокче на колекцията; използвах дистрес мастило Маслина за краищата, една от сините хартии от колекцията, панделка от органза и пеперуда, която направих сама от форма изрязана със Sizzix.
